We are Stefano and Carola, life partners who met in 2013, fell in love, and soon decided to live together, driven by the desire to grow and become independent. Over the years, our family expanded with the arrival of our two wonderful children, Leila and Giona.

Carola worked for many years in her family’s business before pursuing another career path while also dedicating herself to motherhood. Stefano, with experience and education in the restaurant industry, found himself working long hours away from home.

Circumstances and the desire to be more present for our children led us to the decision to combine work and family by continuing the hospitality business started by Carola’s parents in 2008.

L’Osteria Sali e Tabacchi located in the heart of Maggiana, is a historic family-run establishment.

Originally opened in the 1950s as a bakery and grocery store by Carola’s grandparents, it was later transformed into a restaurant-bar and tobacco shop in 1999 by her parents, Giuliana and Gabriele.

Now managed by Carola’s sister, Federica, it has maintained its warm, family-friendly atmosphere while staying true to tradition.

Located just steps from the guesthouse rooms, the Osteria is a popular gathering spot for locals and tourists alike, offering a simple yet refined atmosphere.

The menu features typical dishes from Lake Como’s culinary tradition, including fresh lake fish, homemade pasta, traditional dishes, Mediterranean cuisine, and an excellent selection of wines. Guests of the guesthouse can enjoy a special tasting menu at a discounted rate.
