Our Bed and Breakfast is situated in the middle of the medieval village of Maggiana, next to Barbarossa’s Tower.
The house has undergone a complete restoration in 2009 conforming to modern standards of bioarchitecture using natural materials wherever possible.
Maggiana is 350 mt above the town of Mandello del Lario halfway between the lake (Como) and the foothills of Grigna Mountain range (2400 mt).

In the breakfast room on the ground floor there is an area for relaxing in front of the big stone fireplace and a library available to guests.
ROOMS
Three rooms are available for guests, two with double bed and one with twin beds and possibility of extra bed: the ideal for holidays or business stays.
Sober and avoiding traffic, each one with private bath, they have wooden floors and ceilings which make them warm and hospitable and they are equipped with TV and internet connection. The rooms overlook an internal discreet and quiet courtyard where, in summer, you can enjoy morning breakfast, in the shelter of the medieval “Tower”, and at night feel the cool breeze of the mountain.The warm water of health care is provided by solar panels and stone perimeter walls are insulated.
The passion for the things and their history are often the real motor of the protection and the maintenance. Certainly, it is the case of the Museum of the Tower of Maggiana…

Carola con mamma Giuliana, papà Gabriele e sua sorella Federica conducono l’osteria dal 1999 con la collaborazione di alcune signore del luogo e si occupano dell’accoglienza del B&B attiguo.
The “Sali e Tabacchi” OSTERIA is situated within walking distance of the B&B, in the borough of Maggiana. The typical dishes are from the lake tradition, based on local fish, and, in general, from Mediterranean cuisine.
The inn proposes discounts to the guests of the B&B on fixed price turists’ menu or à la carte menu.
